Fantastic report Philip Nikolayev and Susmit Panda! This comprehensive report not only highlights the players in Indian Quantum ecosystem but also signifies the role Indian #Quantum ecosystem will play in Global arena. I think three things India can contribute to the global quantum ecosystem are:1. Solving the quantum workforce issue. India has the best talent in terms of both quantum researchers but also quantum developers. Shoutout to communities, players like IBM, and universities. 2. Penetration of legacy IT giants in various industries to explore use cases where quantum can provide ROI. Shoutout to TCS and TechM. 3. Given India's strength in digital financing, banking, e-commerce, and pharma as well as atminirbhar initiatives for manufacturing, supply chain, EV, and space, I believe India will have niche end-users of quantum. The quantum players do need to take the effort of making these customers, "quantum-aware" first.We at BQP are cross-collaborating and pollinating in the Indo-US-UK channel. We don't want to grow alone, hence have helped few companies to move around in this channel as well. My efforts to help folks in #India to explore opportunities in #UK and #US markets, and folks in US & UK to explore opportunities in Indian market, will continue to accelerate in 2024.

An excellent whitepaper by Quantum Delta NL and TNO digital, entitled ‘Critical Raw Materials for Quantum Technologies’ identifies specific semi-finished products and isotopes as potential bottlenecks in the quantum supply chain. Helium-3, necessary to operate dilution refrigerators, is singled out as a particularly concerning resource, as: ‘the supply can artificially be controlled by (a small number of) national governments. Since helium-3 is also used for medical imaging and border protection, this can lead to unexpected market dynamics and spikes in prices and delivery times. In 2015 the US Department of Energy for example declared that there would be no public auction of helium-3 that year, while the price was already high at $2,750 per litre’ (page 9).kiutra products provide helium-3 free cooling through magnetic refrigeration (ADR) – the only alternative cooling technology for ultra-low temperatures, as it uses widely available and non-hazardous solid-state refrigerants offering unparalleled scalability and sustainability.
