Many of the white students used this lack of diversity as an opportunity to be blatantly racist and disrespectful to other minorities within the school community; This could have been easily solved through exposure of other ethnic groups, allowing the white population to see the world in a wider perspective. On the other side of the spectrum, the best part of my experience was the classrooms. The classes were amazing, giving us a variety of ways to learn a subject, catering to multiple learning styles at once. Teachers were always ready to help and communicate with the students; It was never an environment fostering shyness or failure. Overall, I would love to see change in educating the student body around topics such as discrimination, this is something that needs to be talked about....
